Promoting officer to a guild leader - Guild Wars Forums

Im guild leader, if i promoted an officer would he have same status as me?
Or would i still have overall control e.g. able to demote him again?

EDIT :: Bah, misread:

If you promote officer to guild leader he REPLACES you. You drop down a rank and he's now the leader.

if you mean promote an officer i believe your rank drops to officer and he becomes guild leader so dont try it.
promoting him to an officer is another story
